RATMASK - "DEMO 2009" tape
DRUG PARTY #1
"Always good to hear some straight-up hardcore punk being cranked out without any pretense or hollow pose. Ratmask belt out seven crunchers that are heavy and moderately fast. Instead of pummeling whirlwind speeds, they deliver their sonic beating through largely mid tempo and riff-heavy songs. The vocalist sounds like he’s being strangled, and at times he’s so pissed he can’t even get the words out, to where it sounds like he’s saying, “Yaay yah yay uh yahhhhhh!” Lyrically, it’s all vitriol against co-workers, pro-lifers, feeling useless, and society in general (there’s a lot of lyrical inspiration out there these days). If you want some no-frills hardcore that is loud and pissed, and good for venting to, then Ratmask are a good place to look. No idea why we’re just getting this now when it was released in 2009. Anyhow... –Matt Average (Drug Party, drugparty.org)"

BAD TASTE/BRAIN CAR SPLIT 7" SINGLE
REEL TIME RECORDS #05
Into the future, into the New Year; come along and be saved, lest we all disappear. This is some holy stuff; a split single between longstanding villains, BAD TASTE, and forgettable drop-outs, BRAIN CAR. Nothing but the utmost honesty here, delivered with the shittiest grins you'll ever dream of cold-cocking. "Warzone High" is a wild romp through a distorted past, as seen through the cataract of a grim future; the title track is a homage to the haunted man, to the skeletons we keep in our closets, to those things that we, by our own admission, cannot face, lest they consume us. This is no admission; this is the consumption. Timeless rollicking delivered right on time, in "Be True To Your School" on the flip, courtesy of BRAIN CAR. Loudest release yet; another bullseye!

FLIP SHIT - OUTGOING ROCKERS E.P.
REEL TIME RECORDS #04
"Red hot summer release on Reel Time Records; fly 'em proud, crank 'em loud. The "Outgoing Rockers" EP captures six hymns of new age Americana, brought forth by Rochester's own FLIP SHIT. Recorded on tape, reel-to-reel, and printed in the USA, these Hilton Cadets sound like the living end on their debut disc. Hand-sewn and homegrown, the razor sharp gutiars and barking battlecries of some nightmareish USO show are sure to send the enemy running for cover.  Sealed with a kiss; 300 on black."

HUNTED DOWN - LIFE'S WOMB E.P.
VIDEO DISEASE RECORDS #15
"Debut EP from Syracuse ruffians, HUNTED DOWN. Perhaps the single greatest EP to come out of Syracuse since now-expired BLACK SS' first-offering, Video Disease plays host to six cuts of blistering hardcore fit to hospitalize the healthiest. Brutally honest, self-destructive, yet self-aware, HUNTED DOWN still manages to retain a certain moral aptitude so inherent in the Syracuse psyche then and now. What makes these Assault City soldiers different is their moral dilemma - like the scattered sentiments of a beaten and broken man, this sounds like good people playing bad music. It's hard to be positive, to be enlightening and wise, when everything and everyone around you has lost hope or shot dope. In the end, all you've got is yourself; so, make the best of it and build yourself into a monumental force that will alter the course of history or succumb to... life's womb." - Brett K.(Reel Time Records)

THE NARCS - I WANT DOPE I WANT PUSSY I WANT ALL THAT SHIT E.P.
REEL TIME RECORDS #03
If you still need your fix and you wanna join the force, these NARCS don't fuck around. "I Want Dope. I Want Pussy. I Want All That Shit." 7" EP, still available from Reel Time Recods. Resealable bags to keep... contents. Yer cousins are here: sketchy music for sketchy times. The deputies' disc debut is an orgy of Jerry Springer rock 'n roll, featuring "Swimmin' in Women," "You're a Slug," and "Dangerous"
